We travel to South Korea today! The book today is "Our Twisted Hero" by Yi Munyol. A required reading in many middle school classrooms, this is an important book that runs through the story of Han Pyeontae, protagonist, arrival at a new Middle school far from Seoul and encounters a ruthless class monitor who rules the classroom like a dictator. This story came soon after the real South Korea's political transitions and after the Gwangju Massacre.
